I started my teaching career at All Saints in 2019, after studying Primary Teaching (BA Hons) at Nottingham Trent University. I heard about All Saints whilst on a teaching placement at another primary school within the Inspiring Primaries Academy Trust. I knew straight away after meeting the staff and children, and hearing the school’s future visions/development plan, that this was an exciting project that I not only wanted to be a part of, but also contribute to. An action-packed year later, I have successfully passed my NQT year, teaching a year 5 class; I’m more enthused than ever and I look forward to having more successful years at this school
I love teaching all subjects in school but I have a real passion for Geography and Computing. I’m known in school for my weird and wonderful knowledge on the history of world flags and world geography in general. I’m passionate about exploring maps with children and helping them to gain a better understanding of the world that they live in. Computing is another subject that I enjoy teaching, and hope to develop my expertise further in the future. I’m particularly interested in teaching the key ideas of computing ‘unplugged’ (without using computers) by pulling on loads of other creative ways to learn how to code!
In my spare time I love to watch football and I’ll happily enjoy a kick around. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and I particularly enjoy cooking for/with them. I have recently started to enjoy origami as a method to relax and encourage positive values of: patience, perseverance and creativity.
