I have been at All Saints since April 2020. I absolutely love being part of this amazing school. The staff team are extremely talented, supportive and kind. I have worked in two other schools prior to this. One of which was a primary school in Countesthorpe and the other was a special needs school in Hinckley. I have also worked as a secondary and primary cover teacher and as a teaching assistant. I have lots of experience working with children of all ages and enjoy all the different year groups equally.
I used to coach Judo from a young age and this is what first inspired me to get into teaching. I also had many teachers as a child that inspired me and helped me to believe in myself. This also encouraged me to get into teaching as I wanted to help children to grow and achieve. My favourite subjects are music and drama. I took some time out of teaching previously to run my own performing arts school as well as performing as a professional singer at weddings, functions and in holiday resorts abroad.
Music and drama can be implemented into almost any subject and can be a really useful way to enhance learning. What I love the most about being a teacher is being able to help a young person to excel and to encourage them to be the best that they can be knowing that what they do in your class could affect them and their future in a positive way.
When I am not in school I run a ‘singing for fun’ adult choir. I also perform in many bands and tribute shows. I love animals and I am regularly out and about walking my two beautiful dogs Cole and Stan.
