All Saints Church of England Primary School

"Guiding all our flock to flourish"

Welcome to Pine Class!

We are a class of Year 3 children taught by Miss Tansey and Mrs Wye.

We have an exciting year of learning ahead of us! Our current topic – ‘Prying into Prehistory’ – is focused on the Stone Age to Iron Age. We are exploring this topic through a wide range of the curriculum.

We are focused on helping to support the children to be enthusiastic and curious learners, who find school an enjoyable place where they are free to grow, develop friendships and flourish. We will support the children in any way that we can to help them to achieve this.

We welcome any questions that you may have. It is usually best to get in touch through the school email:, at the gate at the end of the day, or through a note sent in with your child.

If you feel that something is impacting your child’s wellbeing, please do not hesitate to get into contact with us.

We are looking forward to teaching Pine class this year!

Key Information

Autumn I Topic'Prying into Prehistory' - The Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age.

PE: PE will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays - weather dependent. Please send your child into school dressed in their PE kits on these days. Children should also, where possible, remove earrings.

Homework: You will be receiving homework information shortly, including log ins and passwords for the online Google Classroom and for Times Tables Rockstars. Times Tables Rockstars is often very popular with the children and an engaging way for them to practise their multiplication.

Reading: Reading is a big focus for Pine Class this year! We are working hard to continue creating and building reading engagement. Reading is hugely important for your child, I kindly ask that you read with them every day if possible. We have a range of books that the children can choose from in school.

Books: We are always looking for good quality books for our reading corner! If you have any books that you are willing to donate, we would be very grateful if you could bring them into school please.

Thank you,

Miss Tansey
