“Learning for life in a Christian family”

SEND

Our mission

All Saints CE Primary School's mission statement is 'Learning for life in a Christian family'.

Our staff are committed to ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to achieve his or her full potential.

Our SENCo

Our Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENCo) is Mrs. Wendy Thompson. Mrs. Thompson is in school every Wednesday and Friday. Our SEN Governor is Mrs. Janet Gatan.

The role of the SENCo

The SENCo, alongside the other staff, regularly reviews the provision for and progress of children who have been identified with SEND. The Class Teacher holds Pupil Passport meetings with parents / carers at least once a term, to report on the progress of their child and the SEND Support Plan in place. At this meeting future needs are discussed with parents / carers.

Some children may have outside agencies involved in their SEN Support, such as: paediatricians, Educational Psychologists, Autism Outreach, SALTs (Speech and Language Therapists) and other professionals. The SENCo liaises with both the professionals and parents.

Contact our SENCo

If you have concerns about your child, please contact our SENCo, Mrs. Wendy Thompson.  You can email : sendco@asasps.org or telephone the school on 01455 272973.

SEN Policy and the Local Offer

Please find below our Special Educational Needs Policy and our Local Offer.

The purpose of all Local Offers is to:

To provide clear, comprehensive and accessible information about the available provision and how to access it. Furthermore, it is to make provision more responsive to local needs and aspirations by directly involving disabled children and those with SEN and their parents, and disabled young people and those with SEN and service providers in its development and review.
