Watch this space for updates...
Welcome to Pine Class!
We are a class of Year 3 children taught by Mrs Morrison, Mrs Breach and Mrs Dewes.
Welcome to Conifer Class!
We are a class of Year 3 children taught by Miss Motichand and Mrs Dewes.
We have an exciting year of learning ahead of us! Our current topic – ‘Prying into Prehistory’ – is focused on the Stone Age to Iron Age. We are exploring this topic through a wide range of the curriculum, including learning all about rocks and fossils in Science, and making our own Prehistoric art!
We are focused on helping to support the children to be enthusiastic and curious learners, who are ready to listen, learn and cooperate. School should be an enjoyable place where they are free to grow, develop friendships and flourish. We will support the children in any way that we can to help them to achieve this.
We welcome any questions that you may have. It is usually best to get in touch through the school email: firstname.lastname@example.org
at the gate at the end of the day,
or through a note sent in with your child.
If you feel that something is impacting your child’s wellbeing, please do not hesitate to get into contact with us.
We are looking forward to teaching Year 3 this year!
Autumn I Topic: 'Prying into Prehistory' - The Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age.
PE: PE will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays- weather dependent. Please send your child into school dressed in their PE kits on these days. Children should also, where possible, remove their own earrings, and avoid wearing jewellery.

Sometimes a link will be include for website with Maths games to support in-class learning. You will shortly be getting a Times Tables Rockstar login too.
Times Tables Rockstars is often very popular with the children and an engaging way for them to practise their multiplication.
Reading: Reading is a big focus for Year 3 this year! We are working hard to continue creating and building reading engagement. Reading is hugely important for your child, I kindly ask that you read with them at least three times a week. We have a range of books that the children can choose from in school.
Books: We are always looking for good quality books for our reading corner! If you have any books that you are willing to donate, we would be very grateful if you could bring them into school please.
