Christian Vision

At All Saints, our vision is rooted in Psalm 23 – a psalm that describes God as a loving shepherd who guides, protects and nurtures His flock.

We recognise that there are many different translations of Psalm 23. Some versions say “I shall not want”, others say “I lack nothing” or “I have everything I need.” Each choice of words deepens our understanding of what it means to trust, to be guided and to flourish.

Our children explore these differences thoughtfully. They learn that words matter – and that scripture can be reflected upon, discussed and understood in meaningful ways. By examining different versions, pupils develop both spiritual understanding and curiosity about language, interpretation and theology.

Through Psalm 23, we understand that:

  • We are cared for and never alone.

  • We are guided along the right paths.

  • We are supported through challenges.

  • We are surrounded by goodness and love.

This vision shapes every part of school life. It influences our curriculum, collective worship and the way we nurture character, courage and compassion. It ensures that every member of our community is guided to flourish – academically, spiritually and personally.
