All Saints Church of England Primary School

"Guiding all our flock to flourish"

Governors

Governors are volunteers and our main role is to work with the school ensuring that the children receive the best education in a supportive and safe environment. To this end we have three core strategic aims which are:

  • To ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction throughout the whole school family.
  • Working with the Executive Principal and Head of School to ensure that the children do the best they can and that all the staff are supported and trained to work with them to the best of their ability.
  • Making sure the funding is well spent, by seeking value for money and targeting resources to areas that will best help the children achieve their full potential.

The governors come from a range of backgrounds and have different skills, I think that the most important thing to note is that governors are a team, not a collection of individuals or groups with separate agendas. However much we may sometimes differ in our opinions and experiences we are united by our commitment to the school and the responsibility we share for the school’s long-term success. We could not do our job without the expertise of the Leadership Team, Staff Governors and all the amazing staff in school with whom we share our common goals.

Please find below details of how our Governing Body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.

Our Chair of Governors is Mrs Janet Gaten and you can contact her using the following e-mail address: j.gaten@ipat.uk
